A high-level delegation from Oman Air, led by Oman Air's Chief Executive Officer Peter Hill, Chief Commercial Officer Barry Brown will be in Paris for the airline's launch celebrations.

Oman Air will commemorate its new - Paris flights with a gala dinner on the 13th, under the patronage of Her Excellency Dr. Rajiha bint Abdul Amir Ali, Minister of Tourism. The occasion is expected to attract the political and social elite, as well as leading business officials from the French capital.

Peter Hill, Oman Air's Chief Executive Officer, said: "Paris is one of our prime target markets, and we are really excited about the prospects of developing both business and tourist traffic on this new route. Our new fleet of Airbus A330's is the last word in luxury, coupled with the latest on-board technology, assuring that our customers high expectations will be met."

Hill highlighted that Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the latest addition to the carrier's network, is part of a route expansion program that will reinforce its position on long haul routes. Oman Air's expansion, he mentioned, has been designed to run parallel with the Sultanate's strategy of positioning itself as an upmarket leisure destination. "I am sure that the new direct link will prove very popular," he said.

While other international airlines are cutting back their services Hill added, we continue to grow our network to offer the travelling public a world-class airline service. Oman Air is operating with three-class service to Paris-Charles de Gaulle. "Our customers can now experience fine dining, the latest in in-flight entertainment and amenities onboard our new Airbus fleet," he said.

The new Paris-Charles de Gaulle flights depart Muscat at 1325 arriving in (CDG) at 1930. Return flights depart Paris at 2230, arriving in Muscat at 0750 Complimentary limousine services will be available to first and business class passengers when departing and arriving in Paris.

Oman Air has recently taken delivery of its second A330-300. Powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines, the A330 will be configured in an ultra high comfort three-class layout with 6 First, 20 Business and 196 Economy seats.
