Oman Air, the national carrier of the Sultanate of Oman launched on October 24th its new non-stop service between Muscat, capital of the Sultanate of Oman and Maldives. The new flights to Malé will depart Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, returning the same day.

A high-level delegation from Oman Air, led by Oman Air’s Chief Executive Officer Peter Hill and Chief Commercial Officer Barry Brown, along with other Senior Management team left to the Maldives for the airline's launch celebrations.

To commemorate its new service, Oman Air has arranged for a gala dinner in Male on the 28th, under the patronage of His Excellency Sultan Bin Hamdoon Al Harthy, President of Muscat Municipality.

Peter Hill Oman Air’s Chief Executive Officer says:

“This new destination will be a welcome addition to the ever expanding Oman Air network. I’m sure that it will be a real winner with our customers, especially from Europe for whom the Maldives is already a favourite leisure resort. The Indian Ocean nation is famous for its pristine beaches, and it provides the perfect getaway for those who want to have a complete change of scenery and a relaxing holiday amongst some of the world’s most spectacular natural beauty. Holidays in Maldives will introduce Oman Air customers to a fantastic selection of tiny palm fringed coral islands each with its own exclusive resort hotel.”
